Kraken's security division revealed that the entire family of Trezor wallets can be hacked to steal private keys, though the method requires specialized hardware
A 15-year-old programmer named Saleem Rashid discovered a flaw in the popular Ledger hardware wallet that allowed hackers to grab secret PINs before or after the device was shipped. The holes, allowed for both a "supply chain attack" and another attack that could allow a hacker to steal private keys after the device was initialized.

Even the most trusted wallets and exchanges have failed:

But not with SafeKeyx.
Why? We don't store or expose your keys — we rebuild them from scratch with post-quantum encryption.

Splitting the Key

Step 1: Import Wallet

Enter your seed, JSON file, or public key (secure & air-gapped if needed)
Storing the Key

Step 2: Quantum Upgrade

We generate a new PQ wallet with 33-word mnemonic, Shamir Secret Sharing, and optional biometric protection
Distributing the Key

Step 3: Migration

You sign a transaction — we move your assets securely and show if your current keys are at risk

Frequently asked questions

What is a hardware wallet?
A hardware wallet is a physical device that stores the user’s private keys in an offline environment. It offers a layer of protection against computer viruses, malware, and hacking attempts. By keeping the private keys offline, hardware wallets ensure that even if the connected computer is compromised, the funds remain secure.
How does SafeKeyx differ from other hardware wallets?
SafeKeyx uses a unique decentralized security model. Instead of storing a single private key, it splits it into multiple cryptographic shares. This eliminates single points of failure, making it incredibly difficult for an attacker to compromise your assets. You can recover your wallet using a combination of these shares, even if some are lost.
What is Shamir Secret Sharing?
Shamir Secret Sharing is a cryptographic algorithm that allows a secret to be divided into multiple parts, called shares. The secret can only be reconstructed when a sufficient number of shares are combined. SafeKeyx uses this to protect your private key, so that no single device or location holds the complete key.
Do I need all the components to transact?
No. For transactions, you only need to tap one of your backup cards on the primary SafeKeyx device. The decentralized model ensures security without requiring you to gather all the components for regular use, making it both secure and convenient.
Is SafeKeyx open source?
Yes, SafeKeyx is committed to transparency and security. The firmware is open source, allowing the community and security researchers to audit the code and verify its integrity. This builds trust and ensures that there are no hidden backdoors.
